Marissa is a nationally board-certified Physician Assistant through the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants specializing in Dermatology. She received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology from Boston University along a pre-med track, graduating magna cum laude. After spending two years working in outpatient Dermatology, she earned her Masters of Health Sciences Degree in Physician Assistant Studies from Duke University Medical School, the birthplace of Physician Assistants. Marissa is a proud member of the Vibrant Dermatology team where she is dedicated to providing compassionate and comprehensive care, with a focus in acne, hair loss, eczema, and other complex skin conditions. She eagerly customizes treatment plans specific to her patients’ goals. Specifically, she enjoys combining her medical dermatology background with a procedural approach (platelet-rich plasma, lasers, Botox) in order to help her patients achieve their desired results. In her spare time, Marissa stays active by taking Pilates classes and going for runs. She is also an annual team captain for Memorial Sloan Kettering’s Cycle for Survival – an indoor spinning event that raises money for rare cancer research including melanoma.
